Events and "things to do" you think might be of interest. Biker rallies, races, or more general interest. Not exclusively biker-related.

I have 3 possible routes from Al Forte to Livigno from 4 - 6 Hours riding depending on weather on the day.

Our preferred route is Pordoi, Sella, Mendelpass, Tonale and Gavia, but the shorter options (in case of naff weather) take a faster route by heading to Merano and then along that boring ling valley stretch to the Stelvio which could be used for the last stretch (if weather has improved) or else we will just carry on via the Offen pass.

I suppose we could swap the Gavia for the Bernina, but the time is about the same and we really liked the Gavia the last time we rode it so plan on doing it again, we also have a route going the other way down the Gavia and back up the Bernina for another day.

I cannot afford the fines - especially the Swiss ones

If they stopped your entire gang travelling at speed they could end third world debt  Although I am sure it would go into one of their own special bank accounts.

I only have one route anywhere near Disneyland Italy which is to go over the Gavia and back up the Bernina, I could add the Stelvio in, but it would either be an hour into the Journey or an hour before the end.

If the weather is nice enough we could set off early and be there for 1:00 and then get back to the Hotel early for extra beer, or have a bit of a lay in bed and set off around 11:30 to meet at the top and then get back later in the evening.....

....it really depends if I can get Mrs Rasher out of bed early

Baby just got new shoes. There was probably enough tread life left for this year's ride, but maybe not - and I didn't want to spend 3 weeks worrying about whether or not I had enough tire to get back to Heidelberg.

The shop also noticed that my rear brake pads were a bit thin and replaced them. I DO wish that they had asked, as I have two complete sets of pads stashed with the bike and didn't really need to spend €50 to have them replaced - it's a 5 minute job.

Oh well...
